Erasmus+ Project Act Green 2018-2020

The first meeting was in Kangasala, Huutijärvi School at 26.11.-30.11.2018.

The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the partners, to create a good spirit and to create a positive working atmosphere. During the meeting, the partners were introduced with participatory teaching methods using the framework of Experiential Education. The participants took part in the adventurous exercises themselves and thus got an idea of what the pupils feel when doing such exercises. The participants learned about the objectives and operating models of participatory education methods during the week. They got ready made good exercises and tools for creating new exercises in their own schools after this meeting. During the meeting we updated Facebook pages and decided that each host writes the blog. We noticed that Twitter account must be created.  For all schools, the first meeting was a solemn starting point for the project. We recorded the welcoming party and shared it to the partners. During the meeting the pupils attending the next meeting in Portugal met the Portuguese teachers and had the chance to ask them questions. During the visit we also got acquainted with the Finnish way of protecting nature, promoting eco-friendly thinking and sustainable development models. We will visited the Environmental school Korento, a waste treatment plant and a nature reserve of Kintulampi.
